Bonjour,

Nous avons une technologie Web développé sous WebObject (la technologie Web d'Apple :roll:

)

Nous rencontrons plusieurs problèmes chez nos clients qui ont un Serveur 2003 SP1 et IIS6. Voici les messages qui se suivent :

Application défaillante w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.1830, module défaillant WebObjects.dll, version 0.0.0.0, adresse de défaillance 0x0000a520.

Application défaillante w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.1830, module défaillant iisutil.dll, version 6.0.3790.1830, adresse de défaillance 0x0000f8c6.

J'ai beau chercher je ne trouve pas comment rectifier ce problème.

J'ai un nouveau message qui appairait après redémarrage du serveur :

Est-ce parce que mon process w3wp.exe est lancé en tant que Local System ? Devrais-je l'exécuter en tant qu'admin ?

Bonjour

Ton processus IIS plante très certainement à cause de ce qu'on appelle une "corruption de heap" (corruption mémoire).
Tu constates donc des violations d'accès (les erreurs 0xC0000005) remontées depuis plusieurs modules (webobjects, iisutil, etc...) mais qui sont des conséquences de cette corruption mémoire initiale.

Je pense que DebugDiag t'indique d'ailleurs dans le rapport qu'il s'agit de ce type de corruption.
Il faudrait donc que tu configures DebugDiag pour activer "PageHeap" (markeur mémoire pour comprendre qui la corrompt initialement)
Ensuite il faudra regénérer un nouveau dump (avec ce "Full PageHeap enabled") et générer un Full Dump sur toutes les exceptions de type 1st chance Access Violation (0xC0000005) ou BPE (BreakPoint on Exception)

Le problème est très certainement de type applicatif (IOW provenant de votre module webobjects.dll si ce n'est du runtime Apple lui même).
Donc DebugDiag pourra te permettre de pointer du doigt le fautif, mais ensuite il ne corrigera pas le problème tout seul...et alors seuls Apple / tes développeurs pourront fixer ce bug (surement ce qu'on appelle "un double free")

Est ce qu'un recyclage de ce process n'est pas un contournement suffisant dans ton cas?

Tu peux ouvrir un incident au support Microsoft si tu souhaites que l'on t'aide rapidement à identifier le fautif.

Ok, je viens de lancer DebugDiag avec une règle 'Memory and Handle Leak' je génererais un dump lorsque je pourrais.

Ca n'est pas une règle 'Memory and Handle Leak' qu'il faut créer mais une règle 'Crash' avec Full PageHeap activé (bouton PageHeap flags de l'écran Advanced Configuration). La génération du dump devrait être automatique au prochain crash.

Quand ton process crash, il est relancé automatiquement, non?
Les utilisateurs se rendent compte tout de même qu'il y a eu un crash? Comment? Perte de variables sessions, réauthentificaition, etc..?

Oui, il est relancé automatiquement. En fait, puisqu'il y a une bdd certaines données sont perdues! Une société est venu vérifié les cables et tout est bon. Donc la on vérifie IIS...

Cette exception est uniquement une 1st chance RPC_S_CALL_FAILED_DNE, signifiant qu'un appel à un serveur COM était en cours mais qu'une erreur RPC a été remontée par le serveur.

Je ne pense pas qu'elle soit liée à ton problème, cette exception n'est pas fatale et je ne voies pas vraiment comment elle pourrait amener à une corruption mémoire.

Cherches déjà un fichier .dmp qui s'appelle "Second chance exception" (qui sera une exception fatale au process) et analyse le avec DebugDiag, ainsi que les exceptions 1st chances étant remontées juste avant.

Tu as ta réponse, le problème est un bug de WebObjects.dll...
Désolé il ne reste qu'à remonter ce problème à l'éditeur et demander un fix...

Le soucis c'est qu'Apple n'assure plus de support sur WebObjects
